It may be recalled that ABVP activists damaged furniture as news spread that a woman lecturer of the college committed suicide, alleging harassment by the dean. Management at the Alwal and Maredpally branches of the institution have decided to remain shut until Monday as a precautionary measure.
If a lecturer is not safe in these colleges, how can they assure the safety of my child?” questioned a concerned parent, Sreedhar Rao.
While six ABVP members were detained and the audio clip of the women lecturer is being probed by the city police, a senior official of the institution refutes receiving any complaints of harassment against the accused either from the faculty or from the students.
