It was found that parents are more likely to search 'is my daughter pretty?' and 'is my son smart?', News.com.au reported.
The study found that there were fewer queries related to daughters and intelligence, despite the fact that girls are 11 percent more likely to be in programs for academically gifted students.
The most common Google searches for girls are 'Is my daughter ugly?' or 'is my daughter fat?', and 'Is my daughter overweight?' was searched for almost twice as often as 'is my son overweight?'.
The research also suggested that parents are more worried by a chubby girl than a chubby boy.
Overall, parents are more likely to use words like 'ugly' or 'behind' when searching for information about a daughter, while they are more likely to use positive words like 'gifted' or 'good-looking' for a son.
