Dad Key To Raising Happy Girls

New York: American comedian Steve Schirripa has said that people get that dads have a place in the lives of their sons but can't see that they have to be just as present with daughters.

In his new book 'Big Daddy's Rules: Raising Daughters Is Tougher Than I Look,' he has written that a father can lay down the law in a way that a mother can't, the New York Daily Newsreported.

The 55-year-old actor said that a mother-daughter duo can negotiate over anything, and can go on longer than it took to settle the Vietnam War.
He wrote un his book that sometimes, the daughters need the dad to just step in, say as loudly as they can, "Do what your mother told you now," and leave the room.

They will bond over the fact that their father is being such a jerk.

He also wrote that when it comes to girls, there is an insecurity that starts early on and hangs around them, like a irritating kid from down the block who won't take the hint and go home when dinnertime comes.

Steve said that mothers are often not great at giving their daughters confidence, on of the reasons being is that they grew up with the same insecurity—the same treatment from the mean girls, the same self-doubts that their daughters are facing.

So when a daughter starts expressing that fear, a father has to step up and say forget about it and you are the best.
