We all were once children, and well, we all had our share of scolding and beatings from our parents at one or the other time. But why? Why does a parent need to hit his child in spite of his/her love for their own child? There are many possible explanations for that, firstly, no parent is ever perfect in every choice he makes for his child and moreover not every parent is mature enough in their behavior with their children.

Basically, every parent per se doesn’t want his child to make the same mistakes they made in their own childhoods. Ergo, every parent sees to it that their children are well brought up. In this whole process, sometimes the children do not abide by every saying of their parents. In that case, we get to see that parents give their children a loud thrashing.

This kind of situation arouses an egotistic feeling in the minds of parents and they end up scolding or hitting their children in order to satisfy their ego.
Children are never an instrument by whose means you satisfy your ego. Not everyone is perfect in this world. We all are some way or the other and at some point or the other wrong. And when we are, we must accept and stand by that. And feeling disgusted about a child pointing out that and telling us about what we’re wrong should never infuriate us because that shows lack of mental maturity. When the parent isn’t mature enough, how can we expect the child to be?
