RTI activist attacked

Ongole: Four miscreants attacked Right to Information activist T Hanumantha Rao and his wife Nagendra with sticks in Kalavakuru in Addanki mandal of Prakasam district on Tuesday. The seriously injured couple was admitted to the local government hospital. Later Nagendra was shifted to RIMS Hospital in Ongole. There was a dispute between Rao and some locals over a house site in the village. Earlier also he was attacked and a case is pending in the police station. Rao filed an application before the Revenue authorities under the RTI to survey his land and hand over the same to him. It is kept pending.
