Dalit rally favours T

Ongole: The police arrested Bahujan Andhra JAC convenor Palnati Sriramulu for taking out a rally in favour of State division without permission. A large number of Dalits, including MRPS activists participated in the procession. The protesters demanded exemption of welfare hostels and buses from Samaikyandhra agitation. The arrested leader termed the ongoing Samaikyandhra movement as the one driven by capitalists.

Later, addressing a press conference, balladeer Goreti Venkanna said that Telangana agitation was born out of sufferings of the backward lot that was denied its due share in water resources, employment and food. The ‘suppressed’ people deserve justice and Samaikyandhra supporters should not create hurdles in the creation of Telangana, he said.
