Karachi: Legendary Pakistan cricketer Javed Miandad has urged Pakistan to be more focused and consistent to improve their ICC ODI rankings after their series win in Sri Lanka.
Miandad said that the team is looking good but they need to be more consistent because they should be in the top four, adding that the team doesn't belong to the bottom of the table, the Dawn reported.
The former Pakistan skipper said that they have to constantly improve their performance and have to lift themselves so that they could compete with teams like Australia, South Africa and India.
Miandad further said that it was important for the team to stick to the basics because only then they could rise consistently.
Meanwhile, Pakistan continued their dominant run this season as they thrashed lackluster Sri Lanka by seven wickets in the fourth ODI to clinch the five-match series in Colombo.
The series win, which was their first after 2006 in the island nation, has boosted Pakistan's chances of making it to the 2017 Champions Trophy in England.
