Mumbai: Carnival Motion Pictures Pvt. Ltd of Carnival group, the owners of India's largest multiplex chain spread across the cities, has tied up with Mumbai based 200 Not Out which is producing the keenly awaited docu-feature on India's most celebrated, sportsman Sachin Tendulkar after bagging the rights from World Sports Group.

The yet to be named feature will be one of its kind in the Indian film history with a combination of real time shots and smart collection of never seen before archival footage.

Carnival Cinemas will leverage its existing network of multiplexes, including the recently acquired Big Cinemas and distribution expertise to release the film in over 3,000 theatres across the world.

The team from 200 Not Out is deeply engaged with the production of the docu-feature.

Sachin has also shared some of his insights and expectations with the team as also opened up on aspects of his life which have never been seen by the world.

James Erskine, the London-based director of the movie, and his team are critically analysing over 1,000 hours of archival footage that has been sourced from broadcasters across the world.

Cricketers from across the world as also personalities from different walks of life have shared their experiences and anecdotes on the Master Blaster.

The title of the movie is being finalised from an overwhelming 5,00,000 options received following an online contest conducted among fans.

The responses have poured in through social media, snail mail and over the phone.

"We are delighted to be a part of this exciting project and are thankful to 200 Not Out and Sachin Tendulkar. It is a challenging project which involves developing a new genre in the Indian context. We are confident that the production team will give viewers a different experience with many never seen moments from the professional and personal life of the Master Blaster," said Shrikant Bhasi, Chairman, Carnival Group.

"Personally, I am looking forward to acknowledging the sheer joy that Sachin gave us over the period of 24 years with his batting on field," he added.

Ravi Bhagchandka, the ounder of 200 Not Out, said, "Our association with Carnival Motion Pictures adds an exciting dimension to the docu-feature."

"The challenge with the project is that it is believed that everything and anything about Sachin is known. However, the team is up for the challenge and we are progressing well with the production of the movie. I am sure it will appeal to a cross section of audiences across the world," he added.
