Akshat Reddy’s innings took Hyderabad to 349 for two against FCI at Vijayanand Gardens on Friday. His knock came from 204 balls and was laced with 28 fours and a six. He added 85 runs for the first wicket with T Suman (44) and followed up with a monumental 207 runs for the second wicket with his skipper GH Vihari.

Vihari made 87 runs off 132 balls with nine fours and a six. In reply FCI were three runs without any loss of wicket. Meanwhile in the only other match was played on yet another rain-affected day, MRF looked in complete control despite the presence of Yuvraj Singh in the Air India line-up.

After making 352 runs in their first innings, MRF had Air India in dire straits staring as they were at a rather pathetic 38 runs for the loss of four wickets. The comeback bid by the burly all-rounder ended even before he could settle down as 21 was all that he could manage.
