Bangalore: India ‘A’, led by Shikhar Dhawan, expectedly defeated touring Bangladesh ‘A’ by an innings and 32 runs on the third and concluding day of the unofficial Test match here on Tuesday.

Bangladesh ‘A’, trailing by 183 runs on the first innings, folded up for 151 in their second knock with a disappointing batting display as a combination of pace and spin did them in.

Resuming at their overnight score of 36 for 2, the Bangladeshi resistance crumbled after a promising 61-run partnership for the third wicket between M Haque (54) and L Das (38) was broken.

Das was clean bowled by paceman Ishwar Pandey who came away with bowling figures of three for 28. Thereafter, off-spinner Jayant Yadav (3 for 48) and Abhimanyu Mithun (2 for 23) tore into the visitors' line-up which caved in under pressure.

Brief scores: Bangladesh ‘A’ 228 and 151(Mominul Haque 54, Ishwar Pandey 3/28, Abhimanyu Mithun 2/23, Jayant Yadav 3/48) lost to India ‘A’ 411 for 5 and 32.
