After Federer’s 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 win earlier in the day, Djokovic knew he would advance to the last four if he could secure one set against Berdych at London’s O2 Arena.
Meanwhile, Rohan Bopanna and Florin Mergea suffered 4-6, 6-1, 5-10 defeat against Italian pair of Fabio Fognini and Simone Bolleli in their last Group match.
