Hyderabad: Rajasthan suffered a huge setback to their Group ‘A’ match of the Vijay Hazare One-Day cricket tournament campaign at RRC Ground ads they were subject to a .63-run loss at the hands of Services.

Put into bat, Services were given a major boost by opener Nakul Verma (68) and Yashpal Singh (75 not out) although they could only post a not-so-convincing 230 for seven in their 50 overs.

Nathu Singh was in good form while claiming four wickets while conceding 42 runs. Team Rajasthan faltered to deceive as from a winning position at 110 for three wickets they folded up in double quick with all the remaining batsmen coming a cropper against sustained spells by Services bowlers to be dismissed for 167 in 41.3 overs.

For Servies, Rajat Paliwal (2/10), Suraj Yadav (2/31) and Diwesh Gurdev Pathania (2/39) shared six wickets between them. By virtue of this win, Services pocketed four points from the match.

Brief Scores: Services: 230 for 7(Yashpal Singh 75 no, Nakul Verma 68, Nathu Singh 4/42) bt Rajasthan: 167(Puneet Yadav 52, Rajat Paliwal 2/10).
