Ina welcome sea-change, the team for once finished as the winner when riding on timely knocks by Tanmay Agarwal (83) and GH Vihari (51), they scripted an easy 72-run win over Assam in a Group ‘A’ match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy at Gymkhana Ground.

Having been left out from the previous match, Agarwal was at his scintillating best in a 77-ball essay that contained four boundaries and three huge heaves over the ropes. Vihari stayed at the wicket for 67 balls and slammed three hits to the fence and a six.

Earlier, they were given a flying start by P Akshath Reddy (25) and Danny Prince (32) who put on 56 runs for the first Wicket. Assam was never in contention as they lost quick wickets after opener Pallav Kumar Das's dismissal with his individual score at 54. Ravi Kiran and C V Milind (3/44) took three wickets each.
