Arsenal is back in the title race. Danny Welbeck scored a last-minute winner as Arsenal defeated Leicester City on a dramatic afternoon at Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal had played with an extra man since the 53rd minute, when Danny Simpson was dismissed for two bookable offences, but it looked as though they would be frustrated by the resolute City defence.

"It did smell of a goal, in the last five or six minutes," Wenger said, with a grin. "Every time we had the ball, I didn't have too much time to think, because I thought something could happen there. And they just managed always to get the ball out. And when we had the free-kick on that side, and I saw Mesut [Ozil] taking it, I thought we had a chance there."
Arsenal's manager strongly believed in his team's victory till the end of the game though at things looked pretty bad at half-time. Leicester had earlier taken the lead at the end of the first half through a Jamie Vardy penalty, though it looked as though a foul on Mesut Ozil went unpunished in the build up.

Eventually, Arsenal's final burst turned a 1-0 deficit into a 2-1 win with goals from the substitutes Theo Walcott(70) and, most, cinematically of all, the returning Danny Welbeck in the final seconds(90+4).

The result means the Gunners are now two points off the pace, with 12 games remaining.
