Rural sports meet held at NTPC

The National Thermal Power Corporation, under its CSR activities organised the rural games at the MG stadium in the town on Monday. Inaugurating the sports event, Prashant Kumar Mohapatra, the NTPC executive director highlighted the importance of sports in life. Besides education, sports were equally important for students as it keeps them fit mentally and physically.

Sports also inculcate sportsmanship spirit among people, he added. Students from 13 Government High Schools situated in Ramagundam mandal participated in the one-day event featuring volleyball for boys, kabbadi for girls and 100 meters, 200 meters and 4x100 meters relay running races both for boys and girls.
