Cavani replaced Lucas Moura in the 74th minute and converted a crucial goal shortly after, firing beneath Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to hand PSF a slender advantage ahead of the second round at Stamford Bridge on March 9.

After Serge Aurier controversial insulting video toward PSG manager Laurent Blanc and other team players, the French Qatar-owned club appeared strong and untroubled.

"This is a very strong PSG, so I think the performance of our players was very good," Chelsea coach Guus Hiddink said. "But we could have been more lethal in the four or five counters that we made."

The second leg at Stamford Bridge promises to be another classic. It certainly will be if it’s anything like this highly entertaining encounter.
