London : After thrashing Watford in their Premier League clash at home, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has praised his side for maintaining their focus and called on the Emirates Stadium club to keep their title hopes alive.

"We played well. I said we will take it game by game and just focus on our performance. That's what we did today. That's all you can do, in fact. It doesn't matter how realistic it is (to win the title), the only chance we have is just to believe in our game," the Frenchman was quoted as saying by goal.com.

Arsenal claimed two back-to-back wins in Premier League, having won against Everton 2-0 before cruising to a 4-0 win against Watford.

Reflecting on his side's performance, Wenger said he hopes that the wins would boost his side's confidence and bring them back on track.

Wenger also hailed Alex Iwobi and described him as a creative player after the latter scored goals in both the matches.

"He's a midfielder and a striker, so he can be creative in his passing. He's very mobile as well - we have a game based on movement and he participates very well," Wenger said about the 19-year-old.

Arsenal are currently third in the standings and are lagging eight points behind surprise leaders Leicester City.

They will aim to continue their momentum when they take on West Ham in next league clash on April 9.
