BCCI secretary Anurag Thakur had yesterday said they have decided to play with pink Kookaburra ball against New Zealand, adding that Duleep Trophy would act as a rehearsal for the Twilight Test match.
Lindsay Crocker, New Zealand Cricket's head of cricket operations, said they still need to analyze the venue and the quality of its lights, its playing conditions and practice opportunities, Sport24 reported.
Crocker said they would also hold a discussion with the players and team management before taking any decision.
Earlier, South Africa's Players Association had expressed their reluctance to play a day-night Test during their 2016-17 tour of Australia, saying the players might face difficulty in playing due to their inexperience with the pink ball in night conditions.
