New Delhi : Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) president Anurag Thakur and secretary Ajay Shirke will be meeting members of the Supreme Court-appointed Justice RM Lodha panel in the capital on August 9 after being compelled to bring in the reforms due to a clear directive from the apex court.

The meeting has been requested by the BCCI as a lot of state association officials are yet to get a hang of the SC order although the panel is expected to help the parent body of Indian cricket in implementing the reforms.

It is expected that Thakur and Shirke will be accompanied by BCCI's lawyers. The panel has already set the ball rolling as the Cricket Association of Bengal and Karnataka State Cricket Association's elections have been frozen as per the SC directive on July 18.

KSCA secretary Brijesh Patel said the decision to defer the elections was taken once the communique from Lodha Committee arrived.
We had an emergent managing committee meeting and have unanimously decided to postpone the elections as per the directions of the Supreme Court. They will tells us about the constitution of the [managing] committee as per the Lodha recommendations” he said.
