Vishnu Vardhan, Riya Bhatia clinch Fenesta singles titles
The women finals was more closely contested as Riya Bhatia had to survive a tough first before she won it via the tie-breaker. Bhatia won her maiden national title beating Eete Maheta 7-6, (9/7), 6-3.In the boys’ under-18 final, Nitin Kumar Sinha beat Dhruv Sunish 6-3, 6-4 while Akansha Bhan vanquished Hyderabad girl Humera Shaik 6-0, 6-2.
New Delhi: There was no change in script as the final verdict was true to the billing. Both top seeds Hyderabad’s Vishnu Vardhan and Delhi girl Riya Bhatia annexed the men and women singles titles in the Fenesta Open tennis championship here on Saturday.Vishnu Vardhan was all over the hapless Siddharth Vishwakarma and won the title with an effortless 6-3, 6-4 verdict.
