Continuing the fine form of the first two matches, the visitors defeated India by 15 runs in the third and final T20 engagement. They achieved by successfully defending a small total that they put on the board in their innings.
India failed to reach small target of 140, although captain Harmanpreeth Kaur remained unbeaten on a run-a-ball 60 runs (3x4, 3x6) and Veda Krishna Murthy contributed an equally aggressive 31 not out.
Helay Matthews and Deandra Dottin did well by putting the batswomen in all sorts of trouble in the last overs, which helped the visiting team march towards victory. India needed 28 runs in 12 balls when the team score was 112 for three wickets. The West Indies captain marshaled her resources and field to perfect levels.
