Three TS players in joint lead
Top seed FM J Sai Agni Jeevitesh from Telangana State and his State-mates Chakravarthy reddy M, Sreeshean M and Andhra Pradesh player M Srinivasarao are in joint lead along others with four points from four rounds in the inaugural NITHM All India Fide-rated chess tournament in NITHM campus here on Saurday.
Hyderabad: Top seed FM J Sai Agni Jeevitesh from Telangana State and his State-mates Chakravarthy reddy M, Sreeshean M and Andhra Pradesh player M Srinivasarao are in joint lead along others with four points from four rounds in the inaugural NITHM All India Fide-rated chess tournament in NITHM campus here on Saurday.
On top board Jeevitesh won his game against Divya lakshmi in 47 moves in Nimzo Indian defence opening. On the second board Viswanath Prasad (TS) lost to Pradeepkumar of (TN) in 41 moves while Chakravarthy Reddy defeated Ankan Roy of West Bengal in 35 moves.
Select Round 4 results: J Sai Agni Jeevitesh (TS 4) bt Divya Lakshmi (TN 3), Viswanath Prasad (TS 3) lost to Pradeep Kumar (TN 4), Chakravarthy Reddy M (TS 4) bt Ankan Roy (WB 3), Varun V (TN 3) lost to Sreeshwan M (TS 4), Saranya Y (TN 3.5) drew with Sekar B (TN 3.5).
