Farid, Vaishnavi clinch titles

Bhimavaram: Karnataka’s Daniel Farid S and Telangana State’s Vaishnavi K justified their top billing while making light of the opponents to emerge as the men and women champions of the 73rd South Zone Inter-State Badminton Championships 2017 at Cosmopolitan Club courts here on Wednesday.

It was ditto in the Under-19 boys and girls categories where top seeds Kerala boy Ajay Satish Kumar Nair and Preethi K from Andhra Pradesh clinched the honours.

At a well organized prize distribution function, K Ch Punnaiah Choudary, the best known shuttle administrator from the two Telugu-speaking States, was felicitated by the member of the Club to loud applause.
