Skating player G Devisri Prasad on Thursday created four Guinness Book of World Records in limbo skating at a programme held near Acharya Nagarjuna University on Thursday.
Guntur: Skating player G Devisri Prasad on Thursday created four Guinness Book of World Records in limbo skating at a programme held near Acharya Nagarjuna University on Thursday.
He passed under 60 cars covering 115.60 metres distance to create the world record. Prasad went towards backward under the 60 cars covering 104,25 metres and created the second world record. He passed under bars covering 184 metres forward and created the third world record. He came backward under the bars covering 167 metres to create another record. He created four records at a time, which is another record.

Guinness Book of World Records adjudicator Swapnil Dangarikar announced his record in a meeting held near ANU.
Speaking on the occasion, he said achieving four Guinness Book of World Records is a great feat. Speaking to The Hans India, Devisri Prasad said, “I want to secure a medal in the Olympics in roller skating and bring name and fame to the country. I have been practising roller skating two hours per day for the last four years.”
For the last three months, G Devisri Prasad has been practising limbo skating on the ANU premises for the Guinness Book of World Records. ANU physical education department officials taught him techniques in limbo skating and provided necessary facilities and encouraged him.
Following the instructions of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, SAAP sanctioned |Rs 16.90 lakh for his feat. Similarly, Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation, Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh extended their cooperation for his demonstration. A real estate firm developed the road at a cost of Rs 8.5 lakh. NDRF also extend its cooperation for the feat.
Sports Minister Kollu Ravindra, Special Chief Secretary to government LV Subrahmanyam, Sports Authority of AP Managing Director Komal Kishore appreciated G Devisri Prasad for his achievement and felicitated him and blessed the boy.
Speaking on the occasion, Kollu Ravindra said they have released Rs 16.90 lakh for Devisri Prasad demonstration. He said the state government would encourage the sports and added that Kreeda Vikasa Kendras would be set up in all the Assembly constituencies in the state. He said Sports City would come up in the state capital Amaravati soon.
Special Chief Secretary LV Subrahmanyam said Devisri Prasad’s Guinness Book of World Records brought name and fame to the country. He congratulated the boy and explained the steps being taken up by the government to encourage the talented players. SAAP Managing Director Komal Kishore and SAAP OSD D Rama Krishna were present.
