The happening Hapkido Association Telangana (HAT) will host the sixth National Hapkido Championship at Lal Bahadur Stadium in the city on November 11 and 12.

According to Mohammed Zaheeruddin, President of HAT, efforts were on to make a spectacular success of the national extravaganza that will see the best of men and women hapkido exponents vying for top honours. He said that it gained further significance as such a mega event was being hosted in Hyderabad for the very first time since the creation of Telangana State.

Competitions will be held for various including men, women and age-group weight classifications like kids, sub-junior, junior and senior.
Zaheeruddin said they were putting in place the best of infrastructural facilities to also popularize the exciting Korean martial art as a form of self-defense across the State, where there was abundant talent.

“It is an exciting activity for youngsters, especially for girls and women. This is the only martial art where practitioners could perfect the techniques with minimal effort. The results are uniquely extraordinary. Every workout is hugely rejuvenating for the players,” he said.

Detailing the activities of HAT, he pointed out that they had conducted many Ho Sin Sul workshops in government and private educational institutions, MNC's and also members SHE teams attached to Rachakonda Commissionerate.
