Golconda drub Konark in DAE kabaddi
The kabaddi tournament, being held as part of XXXIII DAE Sports & Cultural Meet-2017, under the auspices of Nuclear Fuel Complex, began on a rollicking note at AECS-II in DAE Colony here on Monday. The competition was given a flying start by the host team Golconda, which was bolstered by a dominating all-round performance that helped demolish Konark 60-34. Â

This win will set the tone for the other matches as the competition gets intensified. Earlier, inaugurating the five-day championship, G Kalyanakrishnan, Chairman and Chief Executive of NFC, exhorted all participating players to exemplify true sportsman spirit.
He appreciated DAE Sports and Cultural Council for their active promotion of a multitude of disciplines at regular intervals that was creating exceptional DAE talent across the country. Eight teams, including Ajanta, Dwaraka, Ellora, Nagarjuna, Pushkar and Rameswaram, representing different DAE units, are battling it out for honours.
Kailash Agarwal, Associate Director, BARC and Chairman, DAE Sports and Cultural Council, Mumbai, inaugurated the newly-laid kabaddi ground. He thanked Telangana State Kabaddi Association for deputing qualified officials to oversee the conduct of the coveted event. Dr Dinesh Srivastava, Chairman of Organizing Committee, and officials graced the occasion.
