While Rohit holds the world record of 264 versus Sri Lanka in Kolkata, he scored his first double ton, 209, against Australia in Bangalore in 2013. En-route to his third double hundred, the stylish batsman set and broke many records. Such was the pace of his unbeaten 153-ball 208-run innings that after completing his 100 off 115 balls, he blasted his next 100 off just 36 balls.

Rohit has 16 hundreds from 173 ODIs with 6417 runs to his credit.

# In all, seven double hundred have been scored in ODIs and three belong to the stylish Mumbaikar.

# The other four include Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Martin Guptill and Chris Gayle.

Meanwhile, the Men in Blue drew level with a 141-run win over Sri Lanka in a must-win game.
