Crowds at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium (RGICS) here were treated to an action-packed night that saw fortunes fluctuating after every over before Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) clinched a nerve-wrecking last ball one-wicket win over defending champions Mumbai Indians in their Indian Premier League (IPL) match on Thursday.

Hyderabad: Crowds at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium (RGICS) here were treated to an action-packed night that saw fortunes fluctuating after every over before Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) clinched a nerve-wrecking last ball one-wicket win over defending champions Mumbai Indians in their Indian Premier League (IPL) match on Thursday.

Although, Hyderabad was chasing a modest 148 runs for a win, the innings faded after Wriddhiman Saha (22) fell to make it 62 for one wicket. Thereafter, only Shikhar Dhawan (45) showed the determination to go for a win before Deepak Hooda (32no) turned the tide.

A magnificent 4/23 by Mayank Markande went for a losing cause.Earlier, opener Evin Lewis (29), Kieron Pollard (28) and Suryakumar Yadav (28) were the highest scorers for the visitors. For Hyderabad, Sandeep Sharma, Billy Stanlake and Siddarth Kaul took two wickets each. Put in to bat, Mumbai started off on a bad note as skipper Rohit Sharma (11) departed in the second over with just 11 runs on the board.

Incoming batsman Ishan Kishan (9) also failed to give support to Lewis as he was dismissed in the sixth over.In the same over, set batsman Lewis was also dismissed. He was clean bowled by Kaul. In his 17 ball innings, Lewis slammed three boundaries and two sixes.

Brief scores: Mumbai Indians 147 for eight wickets (Evin Lewis 29, Kieron Pollard 28, Sandeep Sharma 2/25) lost to Sunrisers Hyderabad 148 for nine (Shikhar Dhawan 45, Deepak Hooda 32no, Mayank Markande 4/23, Mustafizur Rahman 3/24, Jasprit Bumrah 2/31).
