Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) : Chandigarh showcased a rich vein of form as they swept aside The Mumbai Hockey Association Ltd. 6-0 in their Pool A clash on Day Four of the 8th Hockey India Junior Women National Championship 2018 (A Division) here last evening.

Skipper Amritpal Kaur (29', 56'), Kiran (4'), Akshita Yadav (12'), Sonu (27') and Harmanpreet Kaur (33') scored the goals for Chandigarh.

In the other Pool A encounter, Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy played out a 3-3 draw with Gangpur-Odisha. Goals for Madhya Pradesh were scored by Savita (6', 28') and Yogita Verma (66') while Janhabi Pradhan (17', 23') and skipper Jiwan Kishori Toppo (60') scored the goals for Gangpur-Odisha.

In Pool B, Odisha beat Haryana 2-1 as Nimabati Singh (16') and Abinasi Mukti Surin (69') scored the goals for the victors while Usha (6') scored Haryana's only goal.

In the other Pool B match, Karnataka registered a 4-0 victory over Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu where the goals were scored by PA Pavithra (21'), skipper SR Abhinashree (39'), Vidya Kakera (44') and Dhruthi Vernekar (53').

In Pool C, Jharkhand beat Uttar Pradesh 4-0 where goals for the victors were scored by Deepika Soreng (20'), Beauty Dungdung (31'), Pinki Ekka (54') and Sushma Kumari (61'). In the other Pool C match, Coorg defeated Bhopal 4-0. Goals for Coorg were scored by AH Hema (24', 60'), M Parvathi (3') and MJ Yashika (9').

In Pool D, Sports Authority of India defeated Punjab 5-2 as skipper Monika Sihag (14', 43', 58'), Rekha (6') and Anisha Dung Dung (27') scored the goals for the winning team while Kirandeep Kaur (8') and Harpreet Kaur (61') scored for Punjab.

In the other Pool D match, Maharashtra defeated Uttarakhand 6-3. Goals for Maharashtra were scored by Akshata Dhekale (14', 63'), Vaishnavi Phalke (23', 32'), Shradha Tiwari (42') and Pooja Shendge (64') while Manisha Chauhan (7', 69') and Shruti Mamgain (8') scored for Uttarakhand.
