New Delhi: Nizamabad boxer Nikhat Zareen who is undergoing Asian Games preparatory training at Indira Gandhi Stadium had an unexpected visitor here on Friday.
Chairman of Sports Authority of Telangana State (SATS) Allipuram Venkateshwar Reddy visited the camp and enquired about her progress.
Nikhat, who recently won gold medal at the 56th Belgrade Boxing Championship in Serbia, is eyeing Asiad glory with a berth in the 51kgs women category.
Venkateshwar Reddy interacted with coach, Ali Qamar, who is monitoring and reviewing the performances of all the campers, along with head coach Anurag Sharma and Ajmir Singh.
Qamar has reportedly expressed confidence in the abilities of the lone boxer from Telangana in the national camp.
