Second seeded Y Sai Dedeepya cruised ahead with a straight sets win.

Second seeded Y Sai Dedeepya cruised ahead with a straight sets win.

Meanwhile, another unseeded Telangana State player Hevanth V Kumar upset the applecart of the Punjab seven seed Aayush Mintri in straight sets in the men singles pre-quarterfinals.

In another upset, Tamil Nadu’s fifth seeded Guhan Rajan was sent packing by his Statemate, Kavin Masilamani, in three sets.
