The waters of Hussain Sagar will witness 200 different types of boats zooming around as one of the largest congregation of sailors in the country for the Hyderabad Sailing Week being conducted by Laser Association of India and EME Sailing Association with Secunderabad Sailing Club,

Hyderabad: The waters of Hussain Sagar will witness 200 different types of boats zooming around as one of the largest congregation of sailors in the country for the Hyderabad Sailing Week being conducted by Laser Association of India and EME Sailing Association with Secunderabad Sailing Club, Sports Authority of Telangana State under the aegis of Yachting Association of India (YAI) and International Laser Class Association at Hussain Sagar Lake from July 1 to July 8.

A total of 96 races will be conducted in Senior and Olympic categories. This event being continuously held since last 32 years, the Senior Multi-class event conducted last year was a big leap providing an excellent platform especially for the Olympic classes in the country.

Lieutenant General Paramjit Singh, Commandant, MCEME and Commodore EME Sailing Association said, “This is a landmark year for the EME Sailing Association as this year the event has been accredited as the YAI National Ranking event where in the performance of the sailors will be ranked, which will give them points for selection into National Team.”
