​Hyderabad: Ranga Reddy Raiders consolidated their position at the top with an authoritative fourth successive win to aggregate 16 points in the Telangana Premier Kabaddi League (TPKL) Season II at Saroornagar Indoor Stadium here on Thursday.
Although, Karimnagar Kings did a wonderful job, particular with ‘best raider’ Muneesh continuing his good run, in the post-break session, they eventually lost 21-24 to stay at the fifth spot with an overall tally of 10 points. SK Ameer from the winning side walked away with the ‘best defender’ award.
Meanwhile, placed in the second half in the tally, Gadwal Gladiators were in rousing form while whipping Palamuru Panthers 40-22 in a thoroughly one-sided match. Such was their dominance that the best raider and defender awards went to its players-R Ganesh and A Gouri Shankar, respectively.
Results: Ranga Reddy Raiders 24 bt Karimnagar Kings 21 (Half-time: 16 – 07); Gadwal Gladiators 40 bt Palamuru Panthers 22 (Half-time: 17-12).
