Indian weddings are the most colourful with tonnes and quintals of fun, food, and masti! A wedding is a universal culture, though ceremonies performed are different in different communities.
Though, one thing is constant, the desire to wear the most beautiful outfits and flaunting the best jewellery and accessories. This, not only for the bride and groom but for everyone attending the wedding. Sometimes it is confusing to decide what to wear for a wedding, we have put together some ravishing looks worthy for this wedding season.
Red is the quintessential Indian bridal colour. Every wedding designer will have loads of red bridal options in their collections. It is the go-to colour for any bride, be it Deepika Padukone looking glamorous in a Sabyasachi dupatta, Sonam Kapoor flaunting a red Anuradha Vakil lehenga in her wedding or Anushka Sharma opting for a flaming red Banarasi saree for her reception. Red you cannot go wrong with.
But if you are one who finds red boring and isn’t inspired by the traditional palette of reds. You are spoilt for choice when it comes to their bridal statement. Diana Penty’s silk bridal lehenga by Shyamal and Bhumika in moss-green with botanical motifs was fit for an autumn-winter wedding. It can be worn, if not the wedding day, on the other many functions leading to it. The same combinations in printed dhoti pants with bolero jackets, outfits that can be easily taken up by sisters or friends.
The new diva of the industry, due to make her debut soon, Sara Ali Khan, looked jaw-dropping and stunning in a dark-hued Manish Malhotra lehenga. Accessorised with a pair of gold danglers that matched her lehenga embroidery and a simple makeup accentuating her eyes and simple hairdo was enough for her to steal the show. If you plan to follow her style for any upcoming wedding, pair it up with metallic heels to glam up the look.
At the Virushka wedding, the couple looked absolutely gorgeous. Their attires were designed by none other than the talented Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Virat looked dapper in his shervani and the gold chanderi safa while complementing Anushka's blush pink lehenga embroidered in silver-gold threads and pearls.
Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh opted for equally stunning looks at their recent wedding. From Deepika’s Kanjeevaram red gold wedding sari worn by her for the Konkan wedding ceremony with a Sabyasachi dupatta, and Ranveer not opting for something from his wacky wardrobe was a relief.
