Comedian Aditi Mittal, who features in a children's book ‘The Dot That Went For A Walk’, says she is glad to be a part of a compilation which aims to inspire young girls.

‘The Dot That Went For A Walk’, a children's book by Caterpillar Wings, has stories of 51 accomplished women – right from Rani Laxmibai, Indira Gandhi, Kiran Bedi to Deepika Padukone. Apart from the inspiring stories, the book also includes inspiring artworks by 51 artists from the country.

Aditi said in a statement: "The stories we hear while growing up determine the stories we tell and become when we grow up. When I was a little girl, there were too few stories where girls were the heroes (and even villains). That is why it is such an honour to be featured in the book.

"Every single one of these stories is so entertaining and inspiring. When the next generation of girls read and hear them, it will ensure that the stories we hear from them in the future will be doubly inspiring, and lead to a more inclusive and kinder world-view."

The book is curated by Lakshmi Nambiar, Reema Gupta and Sarada Akkineni.
