Soon, change your Pokémon GO team at a cost

Niantic is looking to allow its Pokémon GO players a once-a-year opportunity to switch teams at a small price.

If you ever wanted to switch between Instinct, Valor, and Mystic teams, the game will soon allow you to change by way of an in-game Team Medallion item.

However, there are a few loopholes to this liberty. As Tech Crunch reports, a player will be able to switch the team only once a year, which means you have to be very sure about which team you want to pick in exchange for 1,000 Pokécoins.

The in-game currency can also be purchased with real money via in-app purchase that will make the team exchange a deal of about USD 8. The Team Medallion is expected to roll out on February 26.
