Yes, the naming convention is pretty confusing and in addition to this it has released many variations of Zenfone 2. Today I’m going to review Zenfone 2 Laser ZE500KL.

Look & Feel:
For its price range it looks premium with great design. Covered with Corning Gorilla glass 3 the phone is not a finger print magnet. Though the design makes it look very slim it actually is not. When placed on a flat surface it measures 10.9mm. The power button is at the top of the phone along with the 3.5mm jack. It’s hard to get used to and remaining controls are through gestures included in user interface. The display is crisp and colors are adequate for 720x1280 resolution.

Specs:
It comes with a Qualcomm MSM8916 which is quite snappy for most of the heavy applications. The 2Gb RAM allows you to install a lot of application for any high-end user. The ZenUI is highly customizable than the basic Android. Though it has some bloatware which you cannot uninstall most of the apps are useful. It comes with an Internal memory of 16Gb which is sufficient for any user. Both SIMs support LTE which is great comparing with other phones in this price range.

Camera: The camera in this phone is the center of attraction. It has a 13Mp primary camera with dual toned flash and laser and 5Mp secondary camera. The primary camera comes with Asus’s signature feature, auto-focus laser. Hence, the name. Its inbuilt laser automatically focuses on the subject and stabilizes the image giving us a better picture. The camera takes decent pictures but with its Super Resolution mode allows you to take High Quality pictures. The laser is very good in taking pictures in low-light.

Battery: Though the battery is 3000mAh and gives you a full-day without charge, it heats up with heavy usage like HD games. For a regular user it gives you good performance including the camera with laser.

Verdict:With great design and good specifications this phone definitely gives a strong competition for other phones in this price range. With consistency and good battery life it offers you a snappy and hassle-free experience with excellent camera quality. You should definitely check this phone if you are a photography enthusiast.
