NEW DELHI: Just like its parent company Facebook , Instagram also has a separate section for storing messages from people who don't follow you on.

To access this section, first you need to tap on the inbox icon on the top right corner. Once there, you'll see a 'Message Requests' text label. Finally, tap on this label and you'll be able to view incoming messages from people who don't follow you yet. The message listing also lets you accept or decline chat requests.

The person sending the message will know that you have read his/her message only if you tap 'Allow'. It's worth noting that these 'other' messages are harder to ignore than those of Facebook, as they are right on top when you open your Direct Messages.

Instagram recently went through a major visual revamp and introduced a new app icon as well. The new icon, with a simple camera figure and rainbow colours, is inspired by the previous icon. Along with this, Instagram also updated the icons for its other creative apps such as Layout, Boomerang and Hyperlapse. The update also refreshed Instagram's mobile apps with brightly coloured icons and a black and white user interface.
