There's hardly doubting the fact that today, there are apps available for pretty much anything and everything under the sun. There are apps for ordering food, hailing cabs, filing reports with the police, checking routes between two points, managing finances, listening to music, shopping, and the list goes on.It's given that most smartphone users use a couple of apps on a near daily basis. The market is getting fiercer by the day and numerous apps use features like rewards to attract more users.

So, keeping in mind that we have a lot of apps at our disposal, I decided to spend an entire day using just them. I was curious about whether it would be even possible or not. Consequently, I tried to find out and here's an insight into how my day turned out to be.I began with my morning workout, for which I used 'Fitso,' a fitness app that enables users to track running, keep a daily account of the food they eat, help exercising and plan meals.

After I was done with that, I used 'Faasos' to order breakfast. Although there are other apps available for the same, I thought I'd use them later in the day.An Uber cab (booked via its app) took me to work, and I paid for it using the PayTM app. One more benefit of these apps is that they help in travelling totally cashless - something that many didn't think could be possible till a few years back.

Also, because I didn't have to drive to work, I used the time saved to update myself with the latest news via Feedly and Flipboard. There was an interesting article that I couldn't finish reading, but I saved it for later reading in Pocket.

The moment I got to work, I suddenly remembered that I had completely forgotten about getting groceries that morning. Then I browsed through PepperTap, Grofers and Big Basket, and finally placed an order at Grofers.

At work, I used ClearFocus. The app helps users to manage their time more effectively. The app enables users to set work sessions for themselves and time them as required. It even allows break sessions to be configured.
InnerChef took care of our lunch.

After wrapping up work, I called a cab for myself using Ola Cabs. Just as the ride started, I browsed through the events happening in town on InstaBounce. The app provides all information about events taking place across the city. Tickets to many events too can be booked via the app, this means you can avoid queues outside pubs and other places.

We attended a melodious music performance, thanks to InstaBounce. Post the show, I once again hopped into got an Uber to reach home. At home, Swiggy helped me order a delicious meal.

To sum it up, I would say that it is possible to survive a day using just apps, provided one knows which apps to use. If you are planning to take up this challenge like we did, here's a quick tip - just because an app is the most popular one in a particular category doesn't mean it's the best. Research well about apps the apps you plan to use.
