The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation is all set to introduce a unique smart addressing solution for the people living within jurisdiction of GHMC by fixing Digital Number Plates to every house.Â
The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation is all set to introduce a unique smart addressing solution for the people living within jurisdiction of GHMC by fixing Digital Number Plates to every house.
With the initiative becoming a success at Domalguda in Hyderabad where digital number plates were fixed to the houses and also street sign boards, the GHMC officials are planning to follow the move across the city.
The new addressing solution has been proposed in order to provide the public, navigation details and address location services.
The city has over 21 lakh households (625 sq.km) and the digital numbers would ensure address location services to the people within the GHMC limits.
The addressing solution would involve a GIS-based map where the numbering scheme allows geo-location and navigation services.
