Whatsapp is going to upgrade a Recall feature shortly. It only works for messages, including texts, images, videos, GIFs, documents, quoted messages, and even status replies, but only within a five-minute window.

The specialty of Recall feature is that whatever you sent to friends or anyone more than five minutes ago can be withdrawn.

According to WABetaInfo, a fan site that tests new WhatsApp features early, the messaging app will enable Recall in version “2.17.30+“ of the app.Version 2.17.30 has just hit the App Store, but Recall hasn't been switched on yet.

The latest version currently in the Play Store is 2.17.190. Recall feature is already there but it is being hidden feature and was disabled by default. It is likely to enabled as soon as WhatsApp developers think it's bug-free and ready to go out. It may happen anytime soon but there in no confirmation of knowing exactly when.

Whatsapp is also considering to bring back the old contacts list that vanished with the arrival of Status for iPhone users.
