Two days after 24 engineering students from Hyderabad who was off to an excursion to Kullu were washed away, divers are continuing to search for bodies of those missing. A tourist visit turned dead trap for the young students from Hyderabad on Sunday.

The body of Akula Vijetha, second year engineering student of V.N.R. Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology, was among those washed away in the river Beas on Sunday evening.

It is known that this tragic incident happened when water from a hydroelectric power project was released.
The body of Sujatha was handed over to her grieving parents this morning.
Her body was first shifted to the NIMS mortuary on Monday midnight, and on Tuesday morning it was handed over to her brother.
Reports say that 4 students’ bodies were flown in a defence aircraft from Chandigarh to Hyderabad.
The bodies reached Hyderabad a while ago. Reletives of the victims, college officials and students reached to see the departed ones.
