Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is contemplating to shift his camp office-cum-official residence in Begumpet to a more convenient location.
He is learnt to have directed Roads and Building department to prepare a proposal for construction of a permanent Camp Office to house Telangana Chief Minister. Following the instructions the department has started scouting for various locations which could be suitable for the new residence-cum-camp office in all respects. The Chief Minister feels that the present place was not good even as per Vastu. It is also not convenient for the large number of people who come to meet him as it lacks proper space for parking and other facilities.
Sources said that old Ritz Hotel in Adarshnagar which is now a government property is one of the places which have been short-listed by the officials.
Meanwhile, judges’ quarters next to his present residence is also one of the options which is being considered. If the Chief Minister decides on Judges quarters then he may shift to the new location by December end. However, the Judges quarters needs to be cleared by the security wing.
