Habitual cyber and white collar offenders to be closely monitored

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad police will open ‘suspect sheet’ against suspected criminals who are involved in cyber and white collar crimes.

Under this new initiative, once a suspect sheet is opened, the activities of accused involved in more than one case will be monitored regularly.

The monitoring system will be in place soon to keep a check on the habitual offenders. After the suspect sheet is opened, it will be transferred to the local police station and at least one beat policeman will be responsible for monitoring the suspect. The constable will go and check the suspect's antecedents on a regular basis. According to sources, preparations are being made to identify and list the number of suspects who could possibility continue with their activity. The officials who are working out on the list clarified that it would take at least one month for preparing the list.

The kind of offences include white collar offences, bank related frauds, job frauds, land related frauds, Nigerian lottery frauds, online fake ID (social media) frauds etc.

Whoever involved in one case of this kind, there will be a 'suspect sheet' against him. “We will take all the details pertaining to the individual involved in this and the case will be transferred to the local police station, so that the name is included in the crime beat of a police man,” a senior officer told The Hans India.
