Aadhaar-EPIC link in a week

Hyderabad: Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal has directed the officials concerned to complete the work of Aadhaar seeding in a week. The CEO, along with GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar and Special Commissioner Naveen Mittal, held a review meeting with the Electoral Registration Officers / Assistant Electoral Officer on Aadhaar seeding at the GHMC Head Office on Thursday.

The CEO directed the EROs / AEROs to involve the resident welfare associations and voluntary organisations and also desired to provide high speed internet connections to the offices of the EROs/ DCs to speed up the data entry work and instructions were also been given to all the Booth Level Officers to visit the house of door lock cases three times.

He has agreed to generate the notices to be served to the shifted/ duplicate electors automatically by the system and such a provision will be made available. He further said that after serving the notice, the orders for the deletion of names will also be generated through system and SMS will be sent to the persons whose names may be deleted in the shifted category for all those whose mobile numbers are available in the database.

He also directed to carry out the work in two shifts per day as the EROs were provided with systems and operators. The CEO said that publicity will be given to the availability of Aadhaar enrollment centres mandal-wise so as to enable the people to enrol for Aadhaar in case if they are not having Aadhaar card. The Aadhaar-EPIC Seeding Project will be completed in the GHMC area shortly.
