The Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has convened a key cabinet meeting at 6 pm on Wednesday. This meeting assumes significance in wake of heightened tensions between TDP and TRS governments in the two Telugu-speaking states over cash-for-vote scam.

Cabinet is expected to discuss key issues including job notification and relaxation of age limit for aspirants, framing guidelines for regularisation of contract staff and recruitment for 25,000 jobs in July

Hyderabad: The Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has convened a key cabinet meeting at 6 pm on Wednesday. This meeting assumes significance in wake of heightened tensions between TDP and TRS governments in the two Telugu-speaking states over cash-for-vote scam.


The agenda consists of ten issues, including job notification and relaxation of age limit for aspirants, framing guidelines for regularization of contract staff , IT and Industrial polices, short listing candidate for MLC under Governor quota among others. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has announced that his government would go on recruitment spree for 25,000 jobs in the month of July.


Chief Secretary Dr Rajiv Sharma held a review meeting with various departments to identify number of vacancies in each department. Rao and his Council of Ministers will deliberate on giving age relaxation to candidates belonging to BC, SC and ST candidates.

The Cabinet will also discuss about 2-Bhk housing scheme for weaker sections. Although the previous meeting decided to undertake the scheme in a big way, it did not discuss about guidelines and identification of beneficiaries. Discussion on second instalment of the farm loan waiver and Industrial policy (to be unveiled on June 12) is also expected to be discussed in the meeting.
