The Leader of Opposition, K Jana Reddy, on Tuesday, took strong exception to criticism of his party and its leaders by the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao during his visit to Nalgonda district on Monday. Speaking to media persons at Congress Legislative Party office here, he said the Chief Minister would not gain by blaming the earlier governments. It was for the people of Telangana State to judge whether their aspirations were fulfilled by the government.

Hyderabad: The Leader of Opposition, K Jana Reddy, on Tuesday, took strong exception to criticism of his party and its leaders by the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao during his visit to Nalgonda district on Monday. Speaking to media persons at Congress Legislative Party office here, he said the Chief Minister would not gain by blaming the earlier governments. It was for the people of Telangana State to judge whether their aspirations were fulfilled by the government.


He said rather than blaming Congress and its leaders for past failures, the TRS government should do introspection. Jana Reddy reiterated that it was only because of the Congress, the TRS government was enjoying the fruits of bifurcation. He explained that the Congress had sacrificed everything for the historic transformation of the region.


Questioning the logic of the Chief Minister on solving water problem, the Leader of Opposition said the Congress government put in all the efforts to bring in Krishna waters to the City and several other districts. He said nearly two-phases of the project had already been completed and it was the third phase, which was yet to be completed.


Even 95 percent of the Godavari related project was completed by 2014, but the government now had ruined all the progress made during the Congress government.
