Chief Minister K Chandrashkear Rao on Thursday inaugurated the Palamur-Ranga Reddy Lift Irrigation Scheme by laying the foundation stone at Karvena village of Bhootpur mandal in Mahabubnagar district.

Assuring the project works will roll only after a government job is provided to a member of every displaced family, KCR said that the project will irrigate 30,000 acres in Nalgonda district, 2.7 lakh acres in Ranga Reddy and seven lakh acres in Mahabubnagar.


The lift irrigation scheme will be utilizing around 90 TMC water from the Srisasilam project. The project pylon witnessed TRS cadres, MPs, Ministers, MLAs and a large number of people participating in the programme.
