Complainant in the cash for vote scam, Nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson in his statement stated AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s name several times. In his statement, MLA Stephenson mentioned that he was offered Rs 5 crore to vote in favour of the TD MLC candidate by Jerusalem and Bishop Harry Sebastian who stated that they were sent by Chandrababu Naidu.

After telling them that he would consider the offer, Stephenson wrote to ACB DGP A.K Khan and lodged a complaint with ACB DSP Ashok Kumar. Following calls and messages, Mr Revanth Reddy asked Mr Stephenson to quote his price to convey it to Chandrababu Naidu after which he mentioned Rs 5 crore.

Soon, a conversation was held between Chandrababu Naidu and Mr Stephenson who was assured by the Chief Minister that the quoted price would be given and also he would be taken care of. With the ACB setting up recording equipment in the house of Mr Stephenson’s friend, Revanth Reddy was caught red-handed as he came in to offer the advance of Rs 50 lakh.
