With instructions from the centre, Governor seems to be in no mood to waste any more time in the cash for vote scam. If developments at the Raj Bhavan are any indications, Governor of the twin states ESL Narasimhan is all set to solve the dispute between Telangana and AP over the cash for vote case.

In view of the reports that Attorney-General Mukul Rohatgi has advised ESL Narasimhan that the the latter has powers to invoke section 8 of AP Bifurcation Act, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao called on the Governor on Tuesday. ESL Narasimhan had recently sought the opinion of Mukul Rohatgi in connection with the cash-for-vote that has created widespread controversy in the two Telugu states.

The Attorney-General reportedly advised the Governor to intervene in the war between the two chief ministers as the Governor has special powers under Section 8 of the AP Reorganisation Act, over the cash for vote issue. The meeting between the Governor and KCR lasted for 50 minutes. During the meeting, KCR reportedly expressed stiff opposition on the proposal of invoking section 8 in Hyderabad. It is learnt that the Telangana CM lodged a complaint with the Governor against the AP Government for providing shelter to TDP MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, who was slapped with ACB notices.

The Governor is expected to meet Chandrababu Naidu in the evening. This will be the first meeting after TDP leaders vehemently criticized the Governor.
